Eight percent of Americans have a felony conviction, preventing them from voting, working, and exercising the extent of their citizenship. How are we helping the incarcerated and formerly incarcerated reintegrate with their wider communities?

ABAYOMI BRAME is a program coordinator for Centerforce, a national leader in providing groundbreaking, evidence-based programs to incarcerated people and their loved-ones.

After completing a jail sentence and long-term substance abuse treatment program 16 years ago, KEVIN MCCRACKEN went on to cofound Social Imprints, a branding company with a unique social mission: To provide career opportunities and a living wage to individuals that need a second chance.

ERIC TAYLOR (moderator) was born and raised in Berkeley, California and graduated from UC Berkeley. After many years of living abroad, mainly in Latin America and Spain, he now lives in Oakland, where he is completing a novel.
