An afternoon poetry reading by four poets whose work and performances will showcase a variety of different yet mutually sympathetic approaches in contemporary American poetry. 

JOSHUA BECKMAN is the author of nine books of poetry, most recently The Inside of an Apple. An editor at Wave Books, Joshua lives in Seattle and New York.

BRYNN SAITO is a poet, writer, and educator. She is the author of two books of poetry, The Palace of Contemplating Departure and Power Made Us Swoon. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

ARISA WHITE is the author of three books of poetry: Hurrah’s NestA Penny Saved, and the forthcoming You’re the Most Beautiful Thing That Happened. She lives in Oakland. 

MATTHEW ZAPRUDER is the author of four collections of poetry, most recently Sun Bear, and a forthcoming book of prose, Why Poetry. He lives in Oakland.
